3 New Animal Onesies

We've added 3 new animal onesies to our store - and they're seriously cool. The sloth, red dragon and purple dinosaur are all unisex, made by the long-running onesie brand Sweet Holic, and available in 3 adult sizes.

We have limited supply of these products until Christmas, so get in there quickly if you want one.

Sloth

A sloth onesie at last! This has been one of our most frequent requests, so we've been working hard to get hold of one for you, and this guy does not disappoint. With his lazy grin and hair tuft, this onesie is most definitely sloth-tastic. The perfect gift for the well-loved slob in your life!

Red Dragon

This redder-than-red fire-breather is joining team dragon (we already had a black one and a green one), and not a moment too soon. Dragons are so in right now. With black wings and a spiky tail at the back, the dragon likeness is spot-on. Being red, it's the perfect gift for the Welshman/woman in your life.

Purple Dinosaur

The third dinosaur onesie to join our shop, this one is imagined in a bright purple and pink with yellow buttons and green details on the hood and tail. Seriously colourful and no doubt a ferocious dinosaur.

First Dog Up Mount Everest

These amazing picture emerged today, via Caters News Agency, of the first dog to climb Mount Everest... and he's super cute!

Rupee the dog, named after the Indian currency, was found by his owner, Ms Lefson, starving in a slum in India. She nursed him back to health before taking him with her on a trek to the Mount Everest Base Camp.

The Mount Everest Base Camp, which sits in the heart of the Himalayas, is 17,000 feet above sea level! Whilst that isn't the top of the mountain, it's believed that Rupee is the first dog that has made it that far.

Ms Lefson was quoted as saying that Rupee is "...a fine example of what can be achieved when a homeless dog is given a second chance."

We think Rupee is one of the cutest dogs we've ever seen - what a hero!

Cat Prank Calls 999

A cat has been causing trouble in Kilburn, Scotland, wasting police time and getting his owner's front door smashed in.

The fantastically named cat, Bruce Lee, is a young pedigree Singapura - one of the smallest breeds of cat in the world and renowned for their playful nature. He was left home alone on Thursday morning and whilst playing with one of his favourite toys - his owner's phone, somehow managed to dial 999, pause briefly and then hang up. Concerned police rushed to the scene, and after they didn't get an answer they smashed the door in only to find the phone on the floor and a scared Bruce hiding in a wardrobe.

Bruce's owner, Mr Cocksbridge, said “Bruce Lee is still in shock. We’ve been cuddling him, rubbing his belly, prodding him, throwing his favourite balls so he can fetch them. He likes that. But we’ve also started to unplug the phone when we’re out. He’s got a cheeky side to him, and he might do it again, although he’d be silly to.”

A police spokeswoman said: “We take all abandoned calls seriously. These calls are typically resolved with a call back from a police operator, confirming the need for police. When call backs are unanswered, checks are carried out, and police will respond to the address where appropriate.”

New Animal-Themed Products by Fred

We've just added a handful of new products, made by our friends at Fred and Friends. You may know that we already stocked a number of Fred's useful-yet-novelty gifts (see them all over on the ZooHood/Fred page here). The new additions are just as cool, kitsch and rather good animal-themed gift ideas.

Animal Origami Place Mats

We absolutely love these guys, and have already been having fun with them ourselves. It's a 50-pack of paper place mats - use them for your dinner and then, when all the food is finished, the mats can be made into animal origami. There are 4 animals to make and each comes with detailed instructions. A great gift and a perfect way to keep the kids entertained at dinner time.

Freakeys - Monster Key Caps

You guys seemed to really enjoy the Monkey Key Caps that we have stocked for a while, so we're really pleased to add the Freakey Monster version too. As key caps, they sit on top of your keys, either to colour-code them or just to make them look hilarious. It's a pack of 6 different monsters, each a different colour with a different facial expression. Possibly the best thing about them is the wiggly arms - like the thumb-puppet toys we all had as a child.

You can find the Freakey Monster Key Caps here: www.zoohood.co.uk/freakeys-monster-key-caps

Octeapus - Octopus Tea Infuser

This last product is a tea infuser that looks like an octopus - an "Octeapus" if you will. The pun probably came before the product was designed, but don't let that fool you - it's a really good quality product and a handy thing in any tea drinker's arsenal. It's made of silicon rubber and the loose tea fits inside the octopus's head. It has one extended tentacle which is used as a stir handle and creeps over the side of the mug.

You can get hold of the Octeapus Tea Infuser here: www.zoohood.co.uk/octeapus-octopus-tea-infuser

New Hood Hats

We've added a new range of hats to our line-up of amazing animal-themed products. They've arrived just in time for the cold weather, which, let's face it, must be pretty imminent:(. These hood hats are sure to keep you snug, warm, looking good and absolutely animalised. Each hat is a hood with ears and paws, snugly made of a faux fur exterior and fleece inner-lining. The paws have mittens at the end, so you can leave them hanging to keep your hands warm, or alternatively wrap them around your neck as a scarf. And of course, like all of our products, each one represents a different animal.

Check out some of our favourites below, or head on over to our Animal Hats page for more.

New Animal Hoodies by Sazac

Our animal onesies, made by Japanese brand Sazac, have been really popular with you guys ever since we launched our shop, and we really enjoy doing the photoshoots for them too. So we're really pleased to add a new range of products by the same fantastic brand - Sazac hoodies!

Just like the onesies, each one depicts a different animal, mostly through details on the hood, which enables you to dress as a tiger/wolf/panda without covering your own face. Unlike the onesies, the whole thing stops at the waist (as you would expect for a hoodie), which makes them much fairer game if you want to wear them when out and about.

Here are some sneak peeks, but for more info or to buy them, head on over to the Jumpers & Hoodies page in our shop.

This is the Panda Hoodie by Sazac.

New Animal T-shirts Added

We've added some new products to our already full-to-bursting range of animal-themed T-shirts. They're all made by The Mountain,  a brand that makes T-shirts featuring animals using a quality 100% cotton fabric and a 100% chemical-free manufacturing process.

Let's take a look at the new T-shirts...

This is the 'Big Face' Panda T-shirt. These 'Big Face' T-shirts have been really popular, and we're pleased to finally add one to our panda-themed stuff page. And hes' a real cutie ain't he? The panda's face is well illustrated complete with super-realistic fine details, down to the individual black and white hairs and shadows around the nose, giving it an impressive 3D effect. The face gradually fades away at the edges, enhancing the 3D effect well.

It's available in adults' and kids' sizes.

Our owl-themed products are among the most popular across all of our clothing and gift ranges - we've been selling loads of owl onesies, mugs, earphones and more. Perhaps we're riding some kind of post-Potter wave, or perhaps owls are just a well safe bunch of headspinning wise guys - we don't know to be honest, but we like it. The owl T-shrit is again a 'Big Face' design - by which we mean that the owl's face covers the entire front chest area of the T-shirt, blending away gradually at the edges to give it a 3D effect. This one's only available in adult sizes at the moment (sorry kids) and you can get it here.

Perhaps 'Big Face' ain't your thing, but pandas still might be your thing? If so, this has got to be the T-shirt for you. It shares the same super-fine detailed illustration qualities as the panda T-shirt at the top of this article, but the panda's backed off a bit and doesn't cover the whole T-shirt. That means you get some panda shoulders for your money, as well as face, and the background offsets the panda well. This guy comes in adult sizes and kids' sizes.
