New Sesame Street Merch

We've just received a delivery of some seriously awesome new stuff from the States. The new batch includes animal-themed products featuring characters from movies and TV shows including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and, ahem, Sesame Street.

I know what you're thinking: ZooHood sells clothing and gifts, all sorts or products and they're really quite amazing, but all products have an animal theme. Including muppets in the mix is perhaps pushing things just a little. After all, are muppets really animals?

Well we've been debating this very question today, and we're about 59% satisfied that yes, muppets are indeed animals. They're certainly not vegetables, nor minerals or machines. And if they're not people then they must be animals. Or at least so goes our logic.

Regardless of whether muppets and monsters are animals, we're chuffed to bits that we did what we did, because these products are seriously cool. Check them out and let us know what you think!

This is the Elmo 'Big Face T-shirt, much like our popular Big Face Animal T-shirts, but of course featuring Elmo, probably the cutest guy on all of Sesame Street. It comes in 3 adult sizes and in just one colour: Red.

The Cookie Monster T-shirt is sure to be popular too. His manic cookie-crazy eyes and grin are sure to go down well on any chest. The T-shirt comes in 3 adult sizes.

Oscar the Grouch appears on this T-shirt and it's a similar set-up. Oscar's face covers the chest of the shirt turning your torso into one massive grouch face! Again it comes in 3 different adult sizes.

The Cookie Monster Cap is a thing of beauty too - the bright blue will match most looks and the Cookie Monster face is guaranteed to raise a smile. It's designed for adults but has an adjustable fastening so should fit most heads.

Lastly here's an Elmo Cap, which when combined with the Elmo T-shirt above will give you the ultimate Elmo-tastic look. Again, it's designed for adults but has an adjustable size.

All Sesame Street products can be viewed here, and we'll be adding some more soon.

Would you like one of these products? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

New Dog Mugs

We've been busy adding some new products to the ZooHood shop website, and there are 2 lovely new dog-themed products to tell you about. Well made and well presented, these two additions to our range of animal mugs are made of porcelain and come with a matching gift box. They would make great dog-themed gifts for any dog lovers in your life, or a lovely new addition to your own kitchen.

This mug features Percy the Dachsund, or Sausage Dog if you prefer. Percy also appears on the lid of the gift box. You can buy this Dachsund dog mug here: www.zoohood.co.uk/percy-the-dachsund-mug/

On the other hand this mug features Monty the French Bulldog, again also appearing on the lid of the gift box. You can buy this bull-dog mug here: www.zoohood.co.uk/monty-the-bulldog-mug/

If whippets are your kind of dog, then this is the mug for you. The mug and box feature Archie the whippet on a pleasant blue background. You can buy this whippet dog mug here: www.zoohood.co.uk/archie-the-whippet-dog-mug/
Lastly, here is Colin the Schnauzer appearing on a brown-orange mug and gift box. He's named after the pet from Simon Pegg's classic TV show Spaced, also a Schnauzer, and just as cute. You can buy this schnauzer dog mug here: www.zoohood.co.uk/colin-the-schnauzer-dog-mug/

4 New Animal Onesies

We've just added a whopping 4 new animal onesies to our shop. Not only are they each representative of an animal, but this rabble are all from retro kids' TV and movies.

The question is, can you name all 4 of them? If you got 4 out of 4, let us know in the comments at the bottom of this post. The answers are below, as well as more details about each onesie.

All of these products are officially licensed by Disney or Warner Brothers in the case of Muttley, and all are designed for adults up to about 6'1" tall (that's 185cm).

Cheshire Cat Onesie

The Cheshire Cat is Alice in Wonderland''s grinning cat with the ability to disappear and reappear at will. This onesie, licensed by Disney, takes the form of the Cheshire Cat as imagined in the 1951 classic animated movie. As such he has bold pink stripes, yellow eyes and furry details on the hood.

You can buy it here: www.zoohood.co.uk/cheshire-cat-onesie-adult-by-sazac/

Muttley Onesie

Muttley is a dog character who appeared in various Hannah Barbara cartoons. He first appeared on screens in the 1960s as half of the evil duo Dastardly and Muttley in the Wacky Races TV show. He's most well known for his wheezy laugh and under-the-breath mutterings. The onesie comes equipped with classic Muttley ears and scarf.

You can buy it here: www.zoohood.co.uk/muttley-onesie-adult-by-sazac/

Donald Duck Onesie

Donald Duck was probably the easiest one to guess. One of Disney's most famous creations, he's been in the public eye since 1934, and is Mickey Mouse's right-hand-man. The onesie shows Donald in his classic sailor suit with hat and bow tie (all attached to the costume in one piece).

You can buy it here: www.zoohood.co.uk/donald-duck-onesie-adult-by-sazac/

Love-a-Lot Bear Onesie

Love-a-Lot Bear is one of the most recognisable characters from Disney's Care Bears TV show and franchise. The onesie features a Care Bears face on the hood, and Love-a-Lot Bears symbol - the two love hearts intertwined - on its belly.

You can buy it here: www.zoohood.co.uk/love-a-lot-bear-onesie-adult-by-sazac/

4 Animal T-shirts for Summer

Phew what an absolutely scorching McScorcher it is out there today. In fact, after waiting something like 2 years, the whole of the UK (except for Norwich apparently - sorry guys) has been well and truly scorching it up with a vengeance for a whole week now. Awesome. Maybe it's even too hot.... narrrt! Bring it on we say. The best thing is, according to experts (a chap we met in the pub last night) the sweltering-ness is set to continue for the next 6 weeks. That's like the whole summer. Yay!

To celebrate, we thought we'd hit you up with some of our favourite summery animal T-shirts...
This is the Jungle Animals T-shirt. Printed on a summery green with natural dyes (hence the tie-dye style patches), it features a montage of lots of different jungle animals. Sure to turn a few heads. For the adult version, click the link above, or click here for the kids' size.

This lovely space-leopard T-shirt is printed on a light white cotton, which is perfect for summer. The illustration is original artwork and truly beautiful - just the sort of thing you want when you're jumper has no chance of making an appearance. The T-shirt shown here is the fitted cut, designed for women. Click the link above for that one, of click here for the straighter classic adult T-shirt for men or women.

This is our Tropical Birds T-shirt, and the name says it all really. What could be more summery than a cacophony of tropical birds? The answer of course is when said cacophony is exploding across a lovely summery sky blue T-shirt (see above). Could this be the summeriest T-shirt anyone has ever seen since the dawn of humankind? We like to think so.
Lastly, it's this guy. Our Bob the Polar Bear T-shirt. A controversial entry into this list we know - polar bears are pretty darn wintry, especially when they're wearing woolly bobble hats. However we decided to include it since the light white material is perfect for lounging around in the sun and the chilly motif is a great way of reminding you of what life was like way back in the winter (by which we mean June). We like to think that every time you look at your chest when wearing this T-shirt, you'll appreciate the sunshine just that little bit more.
